Welcome to Peru
Peru is pleased to host two of the most important events in the Latin American space research environment: the First Latin American Astrobiology Congress and the 2nd South America Space Generation Workshop, that will be held in Lima from August 1st to 7th.
The South America Space Generation Workshop (SA-SGW) is a two day regional workshop for university students and young professionals. During the event, delegates have a unique opportunity to engage with high level space proffesionals and academics providing an ideal platform for next generation space leaders to voice their opinions, exchange ideas or pertinent issues and networks.
The First Latin American Astrobiology Congress or I- CLA, is organized by the astrobiology community in the region. The conference will gather scientist from Latin America who work in the interdisciplinary field of astrobiology - the study of origin, evolution, distribution and future of life in the universe. I-CLA will provide a forum to share new discoveries, data and insights, show advancing collaborative efforts and initiate new ones, to propose new projects and educate the next generation of astrobiologists.
